Service Opportunities for Lawyers and Law Students

Monthly clinics: CLA-LA needs volunteers who can provide legal services and spiritual counseling to clients at our monthly clinics regardless of their level of experience or area of expertise. We train our volunteers and provide CLE credits associated with such training. Also, CLA-LA provides malpractice coverage to all CLA-LA authorized legal activities.
On-call experts: CLA-LA needs volunteers who are experts in specific areas of law who can be on call and reachable by phone to guide volunteer attorneys during clinic sessions.
Training: CLA-LA needs volunteers who can train non-expert attorneys in the areas of law that most impact the poor.
Pro bono panel: CLA-LA needs attorneys who are willing to represent clients who may need follow up and/or ongoing representation from time to time.

GET INVOLVED - Service Opportunities for Everyone

Interpreters: CLA-LA needs volunteers who can interpret for our non-English-speaking clients during clinics.
Clerical Support: CLA-LA needs volunteers who can provide clerical support to our executive director (and other volunteer attorneys) from time to time or during our clinics.
Liaisons: CLA-LA seeks volunteers who are willing to reach out to local churches and other faith-based organizations to discuss potential partnership opportunities and to raise awareness and support for CLA-LA’s mission.
Fundraising: CLA-LA seeks volunteers who are willing to solicit financial support for CLA-LA, through application for grants, pledge drive and other fundraising events.
Give: CLA-LA needs financial support. CLA-LA is an IRC Section 501(c)(3) organization and your contributions are tax-deductible as provided by law.
